Rachel Lane-Behroozfard has been with the MHN MFLC Program since March of 2009. Rachel currently supports the Adult Rotational, Embedded and CYB MFLCs in Hawaii. While working in the program Rachel has had the privilege of working with MFLCs in all the various programs both CONUS and OCONUS. Rachel is passionate about the MFLC program. She considers it a privilege and an honor to be part of this program and to give back to our service members and their families.
Rachel was raised in a military family. Her Father served in the United States Army for 28 years. He served one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Rachel grew up on military bases, and was educated in DODEA Schools. She is fluent in German. Rachel has a younger brother and a niece that are both in the D. C. National Guard and have served in Iraq.
Prior to her work with the MFLC program, Rachel worked at Prince George’s Hospital Center in the Emergency Psychiatric Center and later at the Sexual Assault Center. Rachel provided supervision to Crisis Worker Staff as well as Volunteers for the Rape Crisis Center. Rachel provided crisis intervention, evaluation, individual, group, play, and family therapy to victims (children and adults) of sexual assault and abuse.
Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor that has been practicing for 25 years. Rachel is an approved supervisor for the State of Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in German from the University of Maryland and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University.
When Rachel is not working, she enjoys antiquing, biking, traveling, cooking, gardening or hanging out with her husband and two kids.
