Jason joined the MHN MFLC team in February of 2008. He has supervised counselors at numerous CONUS and OCONUS Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine installations, and he opened the USAREC MFLC program and the deployment of MFLC counselors to Korea. Jason also spearheaded multiple training and informational technology projects to provide more effective and reliable support for the MFLC counselors.
Jason grew up with Navy on both sides of his family, and is the son of a Vietnam veteran. He spent his teenage years volunteering for various helping agencies including a rape crisis center and a suicide hotline.
Jason’s first career was in computer programming and informational technology. He later leveraged these skills in support of retirement plan and investment management positions. While pursuing full-time graduate school in the counseling field, he continued his IT work while also making his way as a musical performer. His post-graduate studies include specializations in conflict resolution and military counseling.
Jason has been in active clinical practice since 1999. He spent a number of years providing counseling services to both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and sexual assault. He also has extensive experience in the managed care industry, and has performed assessments and evaluations for both outpatient and inpatient services. His private practice work has focused on individual and family work for civilian and military clients, both active duty and retired.
