Eileen Loftus joined the MHN MFLC team in June 2008. She currently oversees all of the MFLC teams in Alaska, along with the Embedded MFLC team at Ft. Riley, Kansas. During her time with the program, Eileen has worked with School, CYB, Rotational and Embed MFLC teams across all Service Branches. She is excited to be a part of the MFLC team, providing support to those who sacrifice so much for us all.
Prior to her work with the MFLC program, Eileen worked at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Johns Hopkins, she held several positions including working as part of a crisis intervention team and a therapist based in Baltimore City Head Start Centers. Eileen also supervised the 0-5 Clinic, an early intervention program which provided therapeutic services to children ages birth to five and their families through a variety of clinic and community based services. In addition, she worked with families in a homeless shelter in Baltimore providing mental health treatment and advocacy. Eileen’s experience includes program development and supervision; crisis intervention; individual, group and family treatment of developmental and behavioral disorders; depression; anxiety; and trauma.
Eileen is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing for 15 years. She holds her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitative Services from East Stroudsburg University in northeastern Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Scranton, also located in Pennsylvania.
Eileen was raised outside Philadelphia, lived for many years in Baltimore, and now calls Virginia home. When away from work, Eileen enjoys hiking, gardening, kayaking and exploring the rich history of the Washington, DC area.
